HESSE Jack (Senior)

Jack Hesse Senior's father died when his children were young and his wife married again and was employed in the War office, Melbourne during World War 1.
Jack Hesse was married to Eva Nelly Hobby who was the daughter of Caroline Hobby. Their children were John Francis (Jack Junior) who married Joyce Stutley, Phoebe (Mrs. Jack Bastion), Kathleen (Mrs. Stan Faulds), Dawn (Mrs. George Wallwork), Euphemia (Joy - Mrs. Don Smith).
Jack Hesse Senior had two sisters - Emily (Mrs. Lechard Moir) and Nell (Mrs. Jack Kealley).
Nell Hobby arrived in Gnowangerup on 15th March 1911 to housekeep for her stepsister whose confinement was due. Nell arrived the day after her niece was born. After she married Jack Hess Junior, they took up land at Jackitup.
